Tom

This is Z. The leader of the band (hence the Z in LegendZ). Z has two kits. One Acoustic and one electronic. His black Pearl kit is an Export series and includes a Mapex Janus double bass pedal with integrated hats. He uses a Zildjian Titanium Rock Ride and splash, a vintage Zildjian Crash, a set of Zildjian New Beat hats and miscellaneous Sabian and Zildjian cymbals. His Roland V-tour electronic kit is very portable and sets up quick and so is used for most, if not all, of our shows. This kit also lets Z add some effects such as bongos to selected songs. Z prefers Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum as a nerve settler.

Yo_Pic.thumb.jpg

Yo was classically trained as a youth and joined the band during the Halloween 2003 gig in Z's garage. He liked playing so much that he quickly purchased a crap load of equipment including his 2 Yamaha S80 88 key keyboards, Roland 550 Amp, a Carvin 16 channel powered mixer, a bunch of Shure SM57 and SM58 mics and stands. Yo also has a very nice Selmer sax and is re-learning how to play it as to provide some dynamics to the band. Yo also maintains the music portion of the website and is our financial officer. He records all rehearsals and shows and gets them on the site. We rehearse weekly in Yo's garage and he keeps the fridge stocked with beer and a non-healthly supply of booze for settling our nerves.

Favorite Saying: I don't know, should I?

He also has a soft spot for Jack Daniels as a nerve settler!

TC has been playing with LegendZ since its inception back in early 2002 and has once again stepped into the Lead Guitar role in 2010.

He was also in a band called One Way which changed names to My Grotto and then to Haunted by Tradedy. He boasts several guitars including his new beautiful black cherry thru-body Schecter, a Fender Strat, Fender Telecaster, and a beautiful hollow body 1957 (there abouts) Aria.

Arnie has been playing music for 30 years.  He sings, plays guitar (including 12 string), and recently taught himself to play keyboard.  He loves his pearl inlaid 12 string Dillion  acoustic electric guitar that has a unique sound.  He also likes his arch top Silvertone SSL 3 electric guitar. He loves music of all kinds and has turned part of his garage into a sound studio. Other musicians are welcome to come any time and jam with him.  He can take a damaged good guitar and restore it.  He dabbles with the bass quitar once in a while too.  When he's not working, he's playing music.  Glad to be with others who enjoy it too.

Mistie
Misti Young has joined us as lead vocalist. She has performed on the rock-n-roll stage singing rock and country alike. She is not afraid to ham it up a bit and provides backup percussion with the tamborine, shakers, and other instruments.
Shawnie
Shawnie Brown has joined us on the bass, 12 string acoustic, backup vocals, and lead vocals. She is multitalented. Her and her husband Tom operate the "American Family Karate" studio. She plays a beautiful Dean 5 string bass.

LegendZ Crew:

Christine

Christine Z's better half and is TC, Melissa, and Eric's mom. She has been an active supporter of LegendZ (and actually came up with the name) since its inception. She is our sound engineer keeps things going (as well as lugging equipment and helping with setup). She is comfortable in front of a mic which makes her a natural for benefit announcements and such and does a fantastic job coordinating things like the Katrina benefit which she almost single handedly put together and ran. She is known as the terminator because of her administrative role with the band. You really don't want to get "the call."

Christopher Coluccio is the young son of Bruce "Big Daddy" Coluccio. He joins us often with his harp and blue du-rag for Last Dance with Mary Jane and we hope to include him in other songs in the future. Christopher has jammed with us during several of our shows, including some of the big ones where he had great audience approval. Thanks Christopher, you da man!!

Christopher prefers a hit of Kool Aid as a nerve settler.

ian_pic.thumb.jpg

Kirky has been with LegendZ on and off because of job related travel since its inception and will always be part of the band. TC took lessons from Ian for a half of year or so and some of Ian's style is still evident in TC's playing. Ian was there at the first jam session and continues to amaze us when he is back in town. Ian uses a black Strat and also has a Yamaha SG for certain songs. His Harp (Harmonica) abilities will blow you away. Kirky has a distinct Bluesy sound and can really burn up the Fret board.

Favorite saying: Your missing out on half of life!

LegendZ is honored to have Billy jam with us on occasion. He even has stepped in with Lonnie when we needed him most, for the Clemens Center gig at the end of 2004. Billy has music in his blood with a long family history of music. He started TC, Kenny, and Scottie out originally even lending his bass guitar to Kenny. He taught the boys some stuff like Brain Stew which they still use in their shows, except that they have now made it a bit more metallic. We appreciate all that Billy has done for us. Much of the equipment that Z and TC own was once Billy's. Billy can play guitar, bass or drums as well as sing. He and Lonnie have a band called Wastin' Tyme that has been together for many years.

Favorite saying: What?

LegendZ is also honored to have jammed with Lonnie. He and Billy stepped in when we needed them the most, for the Clemens Center gig at the end of 2004. He taught TC some new tricks which is evident in Messin' with the Kid. Lonnie and Billy have a band called Wastin' Tyme and they play out often. They have played together for many years. Lonnie can switch around on the Bass or drums when necessary.

  Past Members:

  Kenny

Kenny has been playing bass on and off with LegendZ since it's inception back in early 2002. He has stepped back into the role of bass player in 2010. Kenny is the quiet one but occasionally his shirt will come off to impress the girls. Kenny uses a beautiful blond Ibenez 4 string bass. He plays through a Fender bass amp with some kick behind it. Kenny has a bold slap bass sound which he has developed over the past few years. Kenny has helped LegendZ in a pinch several times. During the Katrina benefit, Joe became ill just hours before the show. Kenny showed up and jammed the night away.

BC_Thump.jpg

Bruce joined LegendZ in April of 2005. He currently plays a black Fender strat and an acoustic for selected songs. He still has his beautiful hollow body 1969 Guild Starfire III guitar which he uses occassionaly. He adds his harmonica playing talent on other selected songs. Bruce's son Christopher has also been known to play harmonica on "Last Chance with Mary Jane" during several shows. Bruce is entirely self taught. He prefers Blues, Southern and Classic Rock. He also provides lead and backup vocals. Bruce's personal interests include chess, Poker, and he has a preference for Jack Daniels.

JoeThumb.jpg

Joe jammed with Z and TC at the end of summer 2004 and officially joined the band in March of 2005. He is a talented bass player and has much to offer the band. Joe plays a Yamaha 4 string bass with a Digitech effects board which he has been known to use to add some pizzazz to some of the songs. Joe also provides lead vocals for selected songs and backup vocals on most others. Joe likes to brew his own beverages which are fantastic!

DannyG joined LegendZ in February 2005 and was a contributing member until late 2007. Dan played LegendZ first big gig at the Corning Union hall with us after only a few practices. He will be missed as an active member but I am sure that we have not seen the last of him.

mcg_pic.thumb.jpg

Mc G sang with LegendZ from May 2004 through May 2006. He has recently stepped aside to pursue more personal and family activities. His son Scottie is the drummer of My Grotto with TC and Kenny.
